The gold easel was placed in the forecourt at 12:30 p.m., with the notice printed, signed, and framed by the medical staff at St. Mary s Hospital. The framed bulletin was brought out of the Privy Purse Door and will be on display for 24 hours. It will then be sent to the Privy Council Office so that it can be recorded in the Privy Council records. The declaration is a tradition for the royal family. It was last used for the birth of Prince George in July 2013. (At the time, the easel was even driven over by police escort!) Like before, an insider tells Us Weekly that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will soon be visited by friends and family at St. Mary s Hospital. This time, however, their bouncing baby boy Prince George may be in attendance! Via twitter

What a beauty!

Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed their second royal baby, a little princess, on Saturday, May 2, in Paddington, London. That same afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge left the hospital and she could not have looked more radiant!

PHOTOS: Meet the Princess of Cambridge! Though she d only give birth that very morning, Middleton, 33, modeled the bounciest of blowouts (compliments of hairstylist Amanda Cook Tucker, who, as Us reported, arrived at the hospital to style the Duchess famous tresses earlier that day). Embracing her natural beauty, Middleton added just a touch of blush and a natural lip. PHOTOS: Kate s royal pregnancy style

Kate Middleton is very much in mommy mode right now, but that doesn t mean she s slacking on her royal duties!

On Saturday, the Duchess of Cambridge will make her first official public appearance since giving birth to Princess Charlotte when she attends the Trooping the Colour ceremony also known as Queen Elizabeth II s Birthday Parade! (The queen actually celebrated her 89th birthday on Apr. 21, but it s tradition to celebrate the monarch s birthday with a summertime parade.)

Trooping the Colour is an annual event performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth army and held on Horse Guards Parade. The queen and Prince Philip, riding in the queen s carriage, will travel down The Mall from Buckingham Palace as part of a royal procession. In the No. 1 barouche will be Kate, Prince Harry and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will be in the No. 2. barouche.

NEWS: Why Princess Charlotte is an easier baby than Prince George!

And what about Prince Charles and Prince William? The future kings, along with Princess Anne, will be riding horses as part of the procession. Charles, William and Anne are riding horses named George, Wellesley and Elizabeth, respectively. Keeping in line with tradition, Queen Elizabeth II will be greeted with a royal salute, and she will also carry out an inspection of her troops. Sadly, the palace didn t name Prince George or his baby sister as attendees at the ceremony, so it s very doubtful either of them will make an appearance. Make sure your calendar is marked, though, because Charlotte s christening will take place July 5 at at St Mary Magdalene Church at the Queen s Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Uncle Harry probably won t be able to attend the ceremony, but the rest of the royal gang Georgie included! are expected to be there.
